The 5th Hands-On Training Workshop on Agent-Based Stock-Flow Consistent (AB-SFC) macroeconomic modelling will take place at the Department of Economic and Social Sciences, Faculty of Economics "Giorgio Fuà", Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM), in Ancona, Italy. The event will start at 13:30 on Monday, 14 September, and will end at 13:30 on Wednesday, 16 September, allowing participants to arrange their arrival and departure more easily.
The first four editions were held as a Summer School. This year, the event has been reframed as an intensive training workshop, while preserving its core structure. The new format emphasises active engagement between lecturers and participants through theoretical and laboratory sessions, coding activities, informal exchanges, participants' research presentations, and a final round table.
The workshop adopts a hands-on approach. Participants will work directly on code under the guidance of the lecturers, with the aim of developing the theoretical and practical skills needed to become more autonomous researchers in Agent-Based Stock-Flow Consistent macroeconomic modelling.
